HUNTINGTON BEACH – Assemblyman Matthew Harper is proud to announce that Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens has endorsed him for re-election.
“Matthew Harper is a strong leader in Sacramento, working to make our communities safer,” said Sheriff Hutchens. “He has voted for policies that protect victims, strengthen punishments, and keep more criminals behind bars. Sheriff Sandra Hutchens is the first woman to hold the position, which she began in 2008. She has a decorated 42-year career in law enforcement, serving for 32 years in Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the last 10 in Orange County.
“I am honored to have the support of Sheriff Hutchens for my re-election,” Assemblyman Harper said. “She has worked tirelessly to keep dangerous weapons, drugs, and criminals off of our streets and is a nationally recognized crime-fighter.”
